Curriculm Overview

Christina will either follow the student’s curriculum, providing homework help, teaching better note-taking strategies, study habits, and test taking skills or, with her own teaching materials, develop lesson plans to help students who have more specific needs. For example, Christina is trained in Lindamood-Bell and V&V strategies. These two research based teaching strategies, when implemented by the right instructor, will help your student learn phonics; improve spelling, reading fluency and comprehension, as well as written and oral expression.

Language Acquisition

Christina also specializes in English as a Second Language and has experience teaching at Language Schools and Universities throughout San Diego County. She can relate to the frustrations that come along with acquiring a new language and will help you overcome these challenges with ease. With one-on-one or small group lessons, you will learn and better understand the idiosyncrasies of the English language and be conversing in no time!
